As the semester comes to a close and finals arrive– everyone has mixed feelings about them. Some may be worried, others are relaxed and chill. It all depends on experience and several other factors. Three people were asked how they felt about the upcoming finals.
Students with more experience usually feel more confident about their final exams.
“I feel pretty confident, as a senior, I made my schedule pretty easy so I can focus on doing band, choir, and theater,” Matthew Bryan, senior, said. “The only final I’m kind of sweating is my one for music theory, it’s a very rewarding class, but it is very challenging as well.”
He feels pretty confident in most classes, but even he is worried about the harder classes.
Students with less experience might tend to feel more anxious or nervous about their final exams.
“I’m a little nervous, but I feel pretty good as long as I study and work hard,” Issac Sandrock, sophomore, said.
It seems that feeling nervous is common among most, but some also feel that they will do well if they work hard.
“I feel like it will go pretty well because the only class I’m scared of is math, and I opted out,” Bradley Cornell, freshman, said.
So it seems like most people aren’t worried about it, because they opted out of classes that are hard, or are planning to study hard.
In the end, everyone should work hard on their finals and finish their semester strong. These grades will impact students’ GPAs permanently, and it can be hard to raise them if it drops a significant amount.
