State assessments. Something most of us have all had to do at one point in our lives. Some people don’t mind them, others despise them.
Noah Clark, junior has taken state assessments plenty of times. Taking the test does not worry him.
“Easy peasy, ” Clark said.
Andrew Serrano, junior, feels that assessments are pointless activities.
“I’m with most people that feel like it’s a waste of time and takes up days and time we could be in class,” Serrano said. “Most teachers I have talked to or heard agree it’s a waste of time and don’t think it’s worth it to take a whole week for testing. Me and other people I know just speed through it and don’t even take it seriously.”
Mathew Bryan, senior, agrees with Clark.
“I believe they’re, necessary,” Bryan said. “I just think the schedule could be made a bit better surrounding them.”
Everyone can have some wavering views on state assessments. In the end, state assessments are a debated topic among students.
