“This summer I’m looking forward to my choir trip to Disneyland,” Dillard said. “I’m also looking forward to going on my cruise vacation with my family. It’s a few days after my choir trip so I’m super excited for that. I also have my AP U.S History homework which I’m not looking forward to and will probably start in July. Also during July I am going to Youth Group camp for a couple of days, so that’s exciting. Then after that I am going to Washington D.C. for the Girl Scouts convention which I’m also super excited about.”
Jeryn Gorney is a sophomore athlete who is recovering from an injury and trying to better himself for the next school year.
“This summer my plans are still kind of up in the air,” Gorney said. “I have a surgery on Monday, and depending on how that goes determines what I do this summer. Originally I was supposed to go to the Czech Republic with my dad, his girlfriend, and my brother, but now I might not be able to go because of recovery time for my surgery. I want to get my ankle healed this summer and start PT so I can get back to playing all the sports I love I plan to work on my volleyball, basketball, and soccer skills as much as I possibly can this summer so I can come back from this injury as strong as possible. I will also have to work on my APUSH and AP Lang homework this summer, which I’m not excited for.
Kasey Woart is a sophomore athlete who is trying new things and chasing that bag to enjoy life.
“This summer my plans are to chase that bag,” Woart said “I am getting my CNA at JCCC and will hopefully have it by the end of July I’m also working as a Lifeguard at the pool so Lululemon will be obtained. I also will continue club volleyball, playing at a tournament in June and nationals in July. I will also continue to do volleyball over the summer so I can get better and destroy these other people. Aside from that, I am going to enjoy life out of high school while I can.”
