Have you ever wanted to help out your community or school by doing community service? If so, you should consider joining the Interact Club.
The Interact Club is a student led club where students do service projects. Cassie Byars is the teacher sponsor of the club.
“I think service is important for all people,” Byars said. “I think it’s not just good for the community and those we serve, but good for ourselves as well. So I like to foster that spirit of service and others.”
The service projects done by the club are chosen by the members based on their interests.
“We are about to start planning our special population dance that we have in the spring where we invite students with special needs from lots of other schools in the area to come have a dance just for them during the school day,” Byars said.
Interact Club meets every other Tuesday at 7:15 AM in the lecture hall.
“We have a lot of fun together, so we’d encourage anybody to come and bring their ideas for service,” Byars said.
