Boys’ Golf season officially kicked off last Monday at Kansas City Country Club.
“The boys started their season strong and are looking to improve,” said Spencer Webb, golf coach.
Webb said golf at GEHS is a very social and friendly, but also competitive, sport. The boys try and improve every day and be the best players they can be.
Webb’s goal for the season is to make it to regionals when they roll around in May. He said that this goal is completely plausible based on how the team has been playing so far.
Lots of new players have come out this season for both JV and Varsity which is a great opportunity for the program to be expanded and more students to get involved. Webb is looking forward to another promising year and is optimistic to this season’s performance.
