In the auditorium this coming November there will be a contest to see which boy will become Mr. GEHS. This event is being hosted by Kerri Kueser, and co-sponsored by Mrs Matts.

The entry fee to get into the auditorium is $5 or there is another charitable way to get in.

“Or 2 items that we can donate to the health market or multi-service center,” Kueser said

On Thursday, November 16 there will be a contest for boys only to win the Mr. GEHS title. It’s a comedy show performed by the students, and they will have their own escort via, parent, friend, partner, or teacher.

“It’s kind of a comedy show, like a male pageant-ish,”  Kueser said. “There are different categories, there’s a sports wear, there’s an evening wear, [and] a talent,”

There’s a ton of fun categories for this event and if one person manages to outshine the others, at the end of the show Mr. GEHS will be crowned.

“But also we give, like Mr. Congeniality, and other awards during it, and you can win cash money,” Kueser said.

In past years, only junior and senior boys were only able to participate in Mr. GEHS.

“We are opening it up to all grades,” Kueser said.

Staff members of GEHS will be judging. The Student Council runs the whole competition though.

“Typically the former winner MC’s the competition, but considering that we didn’t get to do it last year, I might ask Mr. Yockey,” Kueser said
