Palin’s endorsement caused something to stir in some Americans. According to the Washington Post, she respects any person who can be “put through the wringer” of the presidential campaigns and come out strong. In her speech she used her personal experience from 2008, when she ran for vice president, to relate to Trump.

“Thank a Vet and know that the United States Military deserves a commander in chief that loves our country passionately, and will never apologize for his country,” Palin said in her speech.

She mentioned the military and their importance while giving her opinion on how she thought Trump would be a good commander in chief for the US Military. According to the Washington Post, Palin believes the military is important and deserves a leader like Trump.

Palin believes that Trump is able to speak his mind on matters that many other candidates will not even touch.

“Well, he being the only one who’s been willing, he’s got the guts to wear the issues that need to be spoken about and debate on his sleeve, where the rest of these establishment candidates, they just wanted to duck and hide,” Palin said.

Overall, Palin’s endorsement shocked many Americans but her speech in Iowa was also motivating to some. According to the Washington Post, she ended the speech blessing everyone and finally blessing the future president Donald Trump.
