They targeted six locations according to CNN.com, including a concert hall and two restaurants. These attacks have killed more than 120 people  and wounded 352. A State of Emergency was declared and 1,500 troops were strategically placed in Paris. The French government tightened border control to stop any more attackers from coming in.

Prior to the attacks, Iraq shared intelligence that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had ordered an attack on all countries fighting against ISIS, but there were no specifics. Two of the terrorists were killed and the others have been identified. However, there is no need to give these people any spotlight so names will not be mentioned.

In the midst of the attacks The Eiffel Tower went dark while the rest of the world lit up in red, white, and blue –the colors of the French flag–to show their support.

In response to the tragedy, the French Air Force carried out bombing missions over Raqqa early Monday morning. Targeting a command center, recruitment center and ammunition storage. There are no reports on casualties yet.

Despite ISIS’ religious motives Pope Francis has said that “there is no religious or human justification for it” and that it was part of the “piecemeal World War Three.”
