Over the past weekend, students at GEHS participated in the fifth Annual Kade Meyer run, and supported Lindsey Cochran in the spinal muscular atrophy or SMA run.

The SMA untimed 5K was held at Bishop Miege High School, September 26th.

“They do not time the race anymore which makes me upset,” Brother of L Cochran, Trenton Cochran said, “more people would attend the run is it was timed.”

Because the race is not timed, there were no results. T Cochran would like to thank everyone who came out to support his sister.

“Hopefully in the future a cure can be found for these kids and change every one of their lives,” T Cochran said.
