As girls’ tennis season comes to a close, Derrick Abromeit is here with his input on how the season went. He talks about the girl’s best players, best meets, and the ups and downs of the season.
“Our most improved players were Addie Schroeder, and Jessica Deer ,” Abromeit said. “Our best player was Abby Perez.”
The seasons wins were decent, with our team winning two quads, one home, one at Leavenworth.
“[Leavenworth quad included] Leavenworth, Lawrence High and Shawnee Mission North. We won that meet,” Abromeit said. “We also won the meet at home with Bishop Miege, Sumner, Maranatha, [and] Christian.”
Abromeit felt that the season went well.
“Our JV and C team were really strong,” Abromeit said.
Abromeit said that there are somethings that the team needs to work on going into next year.
“We are really competitive, but we sometimes lose the most important point of the match,” Abromeit said. “The mental side of the game is just as challenging as the physical side.”
