The girl tennis team were able to play two and half matches last week.
Wednesday the team played against the Spring Hill Broncos on their home courts to make up for their rescheduled game from the previous week. A handful of the C-team got to join the JV team in the night matches.
Though many of the girls hadn’t played in a match the previous week, the players had “great learning experience.”
Isla Koerner and Alissa Groff were victorious in doubles after winning a tiebreaker.
On the singles side, Anna Fitzgibbons, Kamryn Elbert, Sienna Smith, Alexa Isadoro, and Addie Trimborn brought home victories.
On Thursday, the team hosted their first of two JV quads against Olathe-South, Shawnee Mission-South, Saint Thomas Aquinas High School.
“Even though the team came up short, they had excellent match play and huge strides in understanding court positioning and playing out points,” coach Osborn said.
Kamryn Elbert came ready to play pushing her opponents. Jenna Harlan also had a great game running her opponent all over the court.
The girls are taking on the JV Sunflower league Thursday September 21.
