Our new Assistant Principal, Molly Bachkora, is very passionate about helping GEHS grow and flourish.
Bachkora has lots of goals on how to help GEHS this year.
“A big goal for me is to interact and get to know and help as many of the student population as I can,” Bachkora said.
Before becoming employed in the Gardner Edgerton School District, Bachkora worked at a private school in Leavenworth where she was also a volleyball coach. She has also worked at several other schools around KCK. Bachkora loves sports and is very competitive.
“I’m really hopeful that at some point… we get to play kids and things because I love beating children in sports. It’s just a fantastic time because… you can talk a little bit of trash through that process, but also just because… I’m [a] very competitive spirit,” she said.
Bachkora says that she’d love to see more cross-grade interaction when it comes to high school and middle school.
“I would like it that there’s more cross-grade level interaction. So everywhere that I’ve gone, you know, middle school is a smaller avenue…But we all found ways in order to create a really positive culture,” Bachkora said.
