Theatre Department performs ‘Guys and Dolls’

The GEHS drama club performed “Guys and Dolls” Nov. 14, 16, and 17. The diverse participation of students was incredible, from athletes to the everyday academic achiever; many participated. For students like junior Ali Haag, the musical was a dream come true.

“My favorite part of the musical was all of my cast members and being able to hang out and make a production with my closest friends,” Haag said.

Haag believed from all of the different compliments she has received, that the musical was successful.

“I would say all of the performances went well considering all of the positive reactions we’ve gotten from peers, teachers, and administrators,” Haag said.

Junior Cooper McGuire said nothing could have gone any better than it did.

Fun and memories were two of the things McGuire said were his favorites.

“Having fun with the cast and crew and creating memories that will remain in my heart forever,” McGuire said.

McGuire said he had one of the more exciting jobs on for the play.

“I was Nathan Detroit and I ran the craps games. It was a lot of fun for me to do that,” McGuire said.

For these students, the musical was a lot of fun and hanging with their friends was enjoyable as well.
