Every three years, the music program takes a big field trip out of state. This year, the program will be traveling to Disney World in Orlando, Florida in May.

The students will participate in a workshop with Disney personnel,” said Kelli Baker, the Choir Director of GEHS. “They will also get to go to Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and Epcot.”

Each student participating in the trip has to raise up to $1,385 per person. To fundraise, they will be selling The World’s Finest Chocolate and Butterbraids, working concessions at GEHS plus some middle schools, working the KC Pumpkin Patch, participating in a mattress sale, and there will be a fun run in the spring.

“I think it is really cool that even with the struggles of the past two years we can still do the trip and have fun, but I am really excited to hang out with my friends during the whole trip,” junior Ceri Fountain said.

“I’m really excited about the whole trip, raising the money will be hard but it will be worth it in the end,” junior Noah Treece said.
