A kind and hardworking student, Audrey is known for spreading positivity and helping others. She’s faced challenges in school but has stayed determined and kept the right mindset, finding happiness in the small moments. She understands that success isn’t just about grades, it’s also about helping others, trying new things, and building strong friendships.
Audrey says she’s been shaped by the people who push and support her to see the bright side of life.
“Probably my friends, especially the ones that happen to be older than me,” Audrey explained. “They’ve helped me prepare for the world ahead of me and helped me see a positive outlook more than a negative one. They’ve also helped me be more confident in myself and my work.”
Though grades haven’t always come easily to Audrey, she’s proud of her accomplishments and hard work in school.
“I’m most proud of getting a passing grade in my English class and all my classes,” she said. “I got a letter from an academy award, and I’m proud of being able to help my classmates and friends with the work they don’t understand.”
Audrey hopes that people remember her not just for what she’s achieved, but for how she’s made them feel.
“I hope they remember my kindness and that I could always be there for someone and put a smile on their face,” she said. “I want people to understand that I’ve done a lot and kept going.”
As Audrey has gotten older, her ideas about success and happiness have changed from focusing only on grades to appreciating life and the simple joys that come with it.
“My idea of happiness used to be grades and being one of the smartest,” Audrey shared.. “But now I’m trying to make myself happier and focus more on friendships and being in the moment.”
Taking risks hasn’t always been easy for Audrey, but experience has taught her a lot. One experience, in particular, helped her connect more deeply with her faith and herself.
“This summer I went on a youth trip with my friend, which I don’t usually do,” she explained. “I made a lot of great memories and feel much closer to my religion now.”
Looking into the future, Audrey dreams of working with animals and sharing her passion for learning with others.
“I hope to get a scholarship for college,” she said. “I want to study zoology and become a zookeeper. I want to start from the bottom, even scooping poop, but I want to educate people on all the cool facts about animals.”
Through all her growth and goals, Audrey continues to stay motivated by the people who believe in her the most.
“Definitely my friends and teachers,” she said. “Anytime I have an idea but I’m too scared to go through with it, they motivate me and have my back. They’re my biggest cheerleaders.”
Looking back, Audrey wishes she could tell her younger self to be brave and trust that everything will work out in the end.
“I’d tell myself to put yourself out there and don’t be scared,” she said. “Keep trying because good will come out of it, even if it’s scary. You’re on the right path and don’t need to change who you are.”
