Olivia Wallon- HOCO Queen
“I think I should win because I would be thrilled and make a good queen, the impact I think I have is talking to a lot of people and not leaving a bad impression.” said Wallon. ” I wanted to be a candidate because I thought it would be a cool and fun experience. The advice I would give to someone is just talk to everyone and don’t be mean.”
Arden Sirithasack- HOCO King
“I think I should win because I just got a concussion, and I am the President of the Blazergrounds and make great coffee and lemonade,” said Sirithasack. “I just wanted to do it for fun, and respect everyone throughout your entire high school life.”
Colby Short- HOCO King
“I don’t care if I win, I just want to enjoy the experience of it all, and I think I impact the school by bringing positivity to the school,” said Short. “I never really thought about being a candidate, but one of my friends asked me as a joke if I wanted to campaign with him, and it sounded like a fun idea, so why not. I would say make sure to be nice to people, try to be creative, and know your audience, and overall just have fun with it.”
Meila Inglese- HOCO Queen
“I don’t think I am a better option than other candidates, but I think that people should vote for me because I am a funny person, and I think that I have an impact on the school because I am Senior Class Vice President, which means I listen to the Student Body’s voice and do my best to implement them.” said Inglese. “I wanted to try because it’s senior year, so why not? Also, a lot of my friends told me I should run, and it sounded fun, and I would say try to be humble about it and don’t take the results too seriously!”
Matthew Bryan- HOCO King
“I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of several different groups, including theater, band, choir, and National Honors Society, which has given me the opportunity to get to know a lot of different students, and I belive you should leave a place better place than you’ve found it, I hope through my involvement of the different groups I’ve been apart of I have left the school a little bit better.” said Bryan. ” It was an honor to be nominated by my classmates, and remember that just being nominated is an honor, and take time to enjoy the activities of the week.”
Kaylee Kelly -HOCO Queen
“I thought it would be fun and be a cool experience, and be nice to everybody, and make sure that you are trying to get the word out to everyone.” said Kelly. “I am on the cheer team and I am senior class president, so I feel like I have a lot of school spirit and know a lot of people.”
Brody Lewis-HOCO King
“I think I should win HOCO king because I am an outstanding student section leader and because I am part of the GEHS golf team, and advice I would give is to step down because I am going to win.” Said Lewis. “I really represent the student body as a whole.”
Addy Yazbec- HOCO Queen
“I think everyone should win honestly, and I’m just glad to be part of this, and I would say don’t think you are doing too much by posting, just put yourself out there.” said Yazbec. “I think I have a good impact by how positive I am and by how consistently I am showing school spirit.”
