Whataburger is a burger establishment, and they have been popping up in Johnson County, the sixth one has opened in Gardner, KS.
Whataburger has a wide variety of different burgers, shakes, and desserts, they are also open 24/7.
With it just opening, the expectations are high, but how do they hold up? Is it really that good?
I went to figure that out and see if it was really that good, or if it’s just overhyped.
I tried a few of their product to see what the quality and service were like, and this is what I found.

The Burgers:
I tried the Whataburger and Jalapeño & Cheese Whataburger, and they were alright. You would expect a burger place to have good base burgers, but they just didn’t hold up, they were a bit dry and had an overwhelming amount of mustard.

The Sides:
I tried the onion rings and french fries, and the onions, by far were some of the best I’ve had, but you can’t say the same about the fries, the fries were soft, not crispy, and they had little to no salt at all.
The Desserts:
I had the Brownie and Cookie, and I think that what they did best, they weren’t too overly sweet, the brownie and cookie were both just great.
The Service:
The service is very important to have a positive experience at a fast food place, and Whataburger delivered, they got the order to us relatively fast, the person who brought us our food was friendly, overall the service was great.
Overall Rating
Overall, I would rate Whataburger an okay establishment, the main part of the food underdilivered, and while the desserts were good, a burger place should have a good burger. I give it a 7.5/10

“The hamburgers were pretty salty, and it was too buttery and greasy…. The fries were pretty good, but when it came down to the actual hamburgers, they were a bit too hard and stuff like,” Bryson Delong, Senior said. “The service was not really that good, the people there were not exactly asking if we needed anything or stuff like that. They barely filled up the drinks to the full amount.

Overall
Whataburger’s food got a 7.8/10, and their service got an 8.1/10. Their food has a lot of space to improve, but their service is good, personally, I would probably go eat there again sometime.
