Marissa Carroll is a teacher and a coach who grew up in Olathe. Carroll was also a Division 1 athlete in college. Carroll played softball at KU and she has experience coaching softball, volleyball, and girls wrestling.
Carroll likes to spend time with our three kids and support them in all that they do. She and her husband are often outside playing, walking, or inside watching sports or playing on the game.
“I became a teacher because I wanted to be involved in education and also be able to coach high school athletes. I’ve always been the type of person that is involved in sports and the community and education has the best balance of that,” Carroll said.
Carroll was a paraeducator at Olathe North High School.
“I always knew I wanted to be involved with mentoring kids, I actually thought I would be a counselor at one point. I didn’t commit and truly decide to be an official teacher until I had my first child in 2014 at the age of 24,” Carroll said.
Carroll grew up in Olathe, KS and graduated from Olathe North in 2008.
