Over the summer, we all did different things, but one thing a lot of us did was travel on vacation or school activities.
“My overall summer was pretty good, did a lot of traveling,” senior Mathew Brian said.
Brain traveled several places over the summer
“I traveled to Washington DC with the marching band, and participated in the Memorial Day parade,” Brian said. “After that I traveled to London, England with the orchestra I play with, after that I competed at the international thespian festival at Bloomington Indiana.”
Blake McSwane also went to a variety of places over his break.
“I went to Oklahoma with my family, and stayed in Garnet with my uncle for a week,” he said. “Then I went to Pennsylvania for 10 days for a youth group mission trip. We went hiking in New York, and went to Lake Erie in Michigan.”
Assistant principal Anthony Taylor was able to leave the office for a little while.
“My summer vacation actually started when all the kids got out,” Taylor said. “I got to go with the band to Washington, D.C and spend 4-5 days there with them.”
Taylor was also able to take a personal trip.
“One other thing, my wife and I drove to Denver, Colorado for a long weekend.” Taylor said.
