This school year many new members joined the staff, one of which being Tony Bozarth, the newest SpEd teacher.
Bozarth has been teaching for 42 years and taught history, science, and PE classes previously.
“I moved to Florida with my wife after I retired in Olathe, and they had a special ed opening and would pay for me to get the degree,” Bozarth said.
Bozarth went to Kansas Wesleyan University and Fort Hays University, where he got his master’s degree.
“I moved up here because my parents are from this area and became ill,” Bozarth said. “I moved back from Florida to take care of them. There was an opening here and I applied for it and I was very lucky to get it.”
Bozarth is looking forward to watching his grandchildren’s sports and other programs.
“I’d like to be the best teacher I could possibly be and connect with the students here, “Bozarth said. “Connect with the faculty and staff. It’s got a very hometown feel and I really want to buy into that.”
