The hallways here are a mess to navigate. It can be incredibly difficult to pass people in halls and you often get stuck behind slow moving groups. This added with the five minute passing period makes it extremely difficult to get to some classes on time. Luckily, there are a few ways to make hallways not as difficult to move through.
One of the main issues I come across is people walking in lines that span most of the hallway. Big lines like that make it hard for people to pass by, so it’s better to have 2 people next to each other with the rest of the group trailing behind to leave hallway space open.
Another issue I find is people only using one door when going through the side stairwells. This makes it hard for people to both enter and exit the stairwells. The easiest way to make using the stairwells easier is to use both doors, one for those going in the stairwell and one for those leaving the stairwell.
A general rule of thumb is to stay on the side of the hall on your right, that way there isn’t a chance of running into someone going the opposite way as you. Walking at a faster pace is also helpful for getting you to class on time and making it so people behind you don’t get stuck behind you, just make sure to not accidentally run into someone.
