Light Spoilers!!!
Marvel has come out with the greatly anticipated Captain America: Brave New World. The movie came out February 14 and is already a greatly praised movie. The movie is one of my favorite movies from phase five.
Captain America: Brave New World has some great fight scenes throughout the movie, always keeping it lively. The story is also always moving forward, never feeling like it stalls on one scene for too long. Also, there were many good moments in the movie that had genuine suspense to them.
The CGI and special effects were some of the best I’ve seen in a while; they made the Red Hulk look real while still looking like Thaddues Ross(Harrison Ford), while all the explosions and destruction looked so real.
There are a lot of new and reappearing characters in the movie, like Joaquin Torres/Falcon(played by Danny Ramirez), Thaddues Ross/Rad Hulk(played by Harrison Ford), and Isaiah Bradley (played by Carl Lumbly. The actual acting in this movie was also good and made the movie have a greater impact.
There are many great things done with this movie, but there are some things that could have been improved. Some scenes didn’t feel necessary, and some characters didn’t get as much screen time. Also, for many, the movie doesn’t live up to the Captain America name.
Something I didn’t like was how some parts of the movie moved too fast and others moved too slow; the pacing of the movie was something that could have been improved just a small amount and made the movie a whole lot greater.
Overall, I have a positive review of the movie. Though some scenes weigh down the movie, those are very few and short, not having a significant effect on it as a whole. It is an okay movie; It isn’t one of the best I’ve seen, but it isn’t bad.
