If you want to know how to ref or officiate any kind of sport, then you should take this class because it’s all about officiating and how to be a ref.
“It’s officiating. I think the first ones are volleyball and basketball, if I’m not mistaken, but it’s like all different kinds of sports for KSHSAA, like refereeing,” Jason Radel said.
There isn’t a prerequisite you have to have for this class, but if there is it would probably be something to do with PE.
“I don’t know that there is one right now, but I know some changes are coming with PE, so maybe it is something in the future that you have to do before you can take that course,” Radel said.
Any PE teacher or coach who knows how to ref can take the opportunity to teach this class.
“We don’t know [who is going to teach it] yet,” Radel said.
