Sophomore Zach Bass plays in International Bowl
Mar 9, 2015
Sophomore Zach Bass played on the United States team versus Canada in the International Bowl. The game was played at Dallas Cowboys’ Stadium in Texas. Bass’s dad was contacted about trying out and they made a decision as a family for Bass to pursue this endeavor.
“There were three tryout camps before I made it to the actual International Bowl called developmental camps,” Bass said.
At each camp there were about 500 kids and only about 9% of those kids were chosen. After the camps it was an invitation only process, and Bass had the golden ticket. In the game the United States was victorious over Canada 24-10.
Bass has no set-in-stone future plans as of right now, considering he is just a sophomore.
“I would love to play at Oregon,” Bass said. “I also hope to keep my position as a wide receiver.”
Through this tough process Bass has had amazing support from his family and friends, and he would like to thank them for all they have done to get him to the place he is at.
