Spoilers!!!
Arcane is back with a new season on Netflix, coming out in three acts. The first act came out on November 9th, and it has already surpassed my expectations. I hope it also surpasses your expectations
Even though there was a three-year gap between seasons 1 and 2 the wait was worth it with some of the best fight scenes and animation in general, combining 3d and 2d in just the right way that creates unison. Some characters affect how everything looks one example is when Jinx is in a scene you see a lot more 2d animations and colors.
The fights in episodes two and three were some of the best I’ve seen in the whole show. They carry so much emotion and suspension with what’s going to happen. The fights move at the right pace and have so much action in them.
The changes that some characters go through are just so good. In season one Caitlyn and Vi’s relationship is very different from in season two, in season one Caitlin was a more understanding person and Vi was very hateful but in season two due to the events that happened in the last episode of season one, the roles switched.
Another thing that is great about the show is how they take the time to show subplots in the show which adds to the world-building. One example is Ekko’s side story, where he is trying to figure out what is wrong with their home. Another example is Silco’s absence in Zaun, leaving a complete power gap people are trying to take causing complete chaos.
With so many things done right, there will always be something done wrong, one of those things is that the number of subplots is overwhelming and makes it hard to keep up with what’s actually happening in the main plot of the show.
Another thing many people have complaints about is how fast the show moves, one moment they’re talking, the next they are fighting, and then you’re watching people argue about their politics.
Though there are some bad things about the show the good parts heavily outweigh the bad parts. In general, this is one of the best shows you’re going to watch in a while. The first act has perfectly set up what we should expect for the rest of the show.
